Announcement regarding foreign based investigation
Our Bank has been included as a party to an investigation pending before the authorized department of the Court of Appeals of Paris. The aforementioned matter relates to a claim initiated against a number of French citizens who have been involved in tax evasion and similar activities with respect to income generated out Carbon Emission Allowance trades. In this regard bank accounts established by two foreign individuals at our Bank as well as certain other international institutions and the transactions relating to the same accounts are being investigated. Our Bank is of the view that it has complied with all applicable rules and regulations and will be filing the necessary defenses and responses relating to the same. The matter involving our Bank represents an insignificant portion of this major investigation and we believe that the subject matter of this investigation should not have any material monetary or administrative impact on our Banks ability to conduct its business. Any further development relating to this investigation shall be disclosed to public in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations.
In contradiction between the Turkish and English versions of this public disclosure, the Turkish version shall prevail.
