Business Continuity Policy

Top management of Garanti BBVA is responsible for protecting its employees, buildings, technology, information assets and other corporate resources against possible business continuity risks; recovering the activities of the bank with minimum possible duration of disruption, resuming activities and recovering corporate resources.

As part of this responsibility, top management ensures the establishment, operation and continuous improvement of business continuity management system; leads the business continuity management system.

The Bank establishes and executes the business continuity management system on the basis of applicable sectoral, legal and regulatory requirements and business continuity management best practices; implements and operates a business continuity management system to meet requirements of ISO 22301 standard.

It is aimed to deliver uninterrupted and reliable banking services to customers with the business continuity management system. In order to achieve this objective, three main topics are in the focus:

Awareness: To raise "Business Continuity Management System" awareness for all bank employees and to ensure that all employees are aware of their business continuity responsibilities

Resilience: To increase resilience by ensuring that the whole organization acts in planned, integrated and coordinated manner in extraordinary situations, and to be able to perform recovery as soon as possible.

Complience: To comply with legal regulations, BBVA policies and standards, good practices and international standards.
