Announcement regarding administrative fine
Reference: Public disclosure of Türkiye Garanti Bankası A.Ş. (Garanti ) on 18.08.2015
With the public disclosure referenced above, it has been announced that as the result of the audit carried out by the Ministry of Customs and Trade within the context of Law no. 6502 (in force) and Law no. 4077 (abolished), an administrative fine in the amount of TL 110.110.000, has been imposed on our Bank.
TL 82,582,500 of the administrative fine, which is the amount calculated by benefiting from the discount within the frame of the provision of Article 17 of the Law on Misdemeanors No. 5326, was paid by our Bank, reserving its rights to litigate against the related decision and to claim for refund.
Our Bank has filed a lawsuit before İstanbul Administrative Courts for cancellation of the administrative fine in due time.
In contradiction between the Turkish and English versions of this public disclosure, the Turkish version shall prevail.
